Perennial Japanese Anemone – AGM, Windflower
A true stalwart of the herbaceous border and capable of flowering from July to October, Anemone x hybrida Konigin Charlotte is an old, possibly German-bred, plant that’s been around for more than a century. The plants are tough but attractive, and pollinator friendly to boot. The flowers are a delicate pink on top, a deeper shade underneath. Moist, well drained soil, not fussy about PH or exposure, but can spread rapidly once established.
Their robust constitution has allowed them to do well here in coastal Cork.
